I heard a saying once that silence can feel like betrayal.
Life keeps moving, however on an anniversary, mothers day, fathers day and Christmas; life can stand still for your loved ones who have lost.
So sending something to them or reaching out and saying I am thinking of you. Put a reminder in your phone!
Offer specific help. Whether that be cooking some meals, that they can freeze or if they have another child (or children) maybe offering childcare.
Picking up a few groceries, most of the time it is in the everyday things that feel the hardest!
Send a memorable gift, something they can treasure and remember you by, as being a support for them in one of the hardest times.
